About the role 

We are hiring for a Coordinator, Accreditation Visits to provide support leading up to, during, and after accreditation and substantial equivalency visits while managing information and timelines associated with accreditation and substantial equivalency cycles. In addition, the coordinator will ensure the accuracy of data, communications, training materials, and other relevant documents and delivers high-quality customer service.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages accurate information and deadlines for accreditation and substantial equivalency cycles.
  • Provides support leading up to, during, and after accreditation visits, assisting in interpretation of criteria by visiting teams, and facilitating timely and accurate drafting of visiting team report.
  • Develops and maintains communication and training materials for visiting team members and programs seeking accreditation.
  • Identifies and initiates improvements to processes and documentation for accreditation and substantial equivalency.
  • Administers the Accreditation Board’s document sharing platform(s).
  • Responds to inquiries regarding program development, accreditation, and substantial equivalency.
  • Develops positive relationships with volunteers and higher education institutions.
  • Supports the development of publication of criteria, information, documents, and reports related to program development, accreditation, and substantial equivalency.
  • Collaborates with others to resolve issues, challenges, and respond to inquiries from accreditation stakeholders.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Graduate from a recognized University, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Minimum of (3) three years of experience providing administrative support.

Key Competencies

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in reviewing/proofreading documentation, with good attention to detail.
  • Proficient in the use of Project Management principles, practices, and tools with a track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.
  • Experience working with the wide diversity of cultures within staff, volunteers, clients, students, and the community in general.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving and time management skills.


  • Knowledge of accreditation principles, methods, and tools.
  • Experience working with volunteers.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 365 Business, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.


  •  Proficiency in English is required; proficiency in French is an asset.

About our working conditions

This is a full-time, contract position that is based out of our Ottawa head office. There is a requirement to occasionally work weekends and evenings as well as occasional travel within Canada. 

There is a requirement to work three (3) days in a week from the office during the first three months and to occasionally work extra hours including weekends and evenings.
