This March, the engineering profession is opening its doors to show how engineers open doors!

Engineers open doors to new possibilities and new futures. They drive innovation and progress, taking what’s come before them and making it better. Engineers bring people together and they inspire.

National Engineering Month (NEM) is an annual celebration of the heart and soul of engineers—their passion, commitment, and action toward making the world a better place. In March 2026, engineers are inviting you in. Discover the difference that engineers make in their communities through a series of doors open events at higher education institutions, STEM based NGOs, participating engineering companies and industry organizations.

This year, we are excited to kick off NEM with a webinar on Sharing Your Story to Inspire Kids to Explore Engineering on Tuesday, March 3. In this session, you’ll learn how to share your own engineering journey in ways that connect with kids and spark their curiosity about the “E” in STEM. The webinar will also introduce Engineers Canada’s Forward Engineering Collective – a new initiative focussed on ensuring young people have opportunities to explore engineering in ways that are inclusive, inspiring, and relevant.

Host an event

Would you like to showcase the work of your engineering team, colleagues, or engineering students? Open your doors in March 2026! If you’re a higher education institution, STEM-based non-governmental organization (NGO), engineering company, industry organization or anyone else looking to host a NEM event, we encourage you to attend our free webinar, Planning a NEM Event 101, on Tuesday, January 20 to learn tips, tricks, and helpful resources.

Do you have an event planned? Tell us about it by filling out the below and we'll add it to our national calendar.
