Realizing Futures of Engineering Accreditation is a national effort to ensure Canada’s engineering accreditation and academic assessment systems remain responsive, inclusive, and aligned with the evolving needs of the engineering profession.
Through a multi-year journey, the Futures of Engineering Accreditation (FEA) project focussed on reviewing the current accreditation system and gathering input from the engineering ecosystem. This work culminated in the FEA Path Forward Report which comprised 18 recommendations that proposed, amongst other initiatives, shifts to the Canadian engineering accreditation system and a new national academic requirement for licensure.
For Realizing Futures of Engineering Accreditation, a strategic initiative in Engineers Canada’s 2025-2029 Strategic Plan, the project team is working with interest holders from across the engineering ecosystem to implement recommendations approved by the Engineers Canada Board.
