This March, the engineering profession is opening its doors to show how engineers open doors!

Engineers open doors to new possibilities and new futures. They drive innovation and progress, taking what’s come before them and making it better. Engineers bring people together and they inspire.

2025 is a milestone year for the engineering profession, marking the 100th anniversary of the Calling of an Engineer (where engineering students receive their Iron Rings). A valued symbol for many engineering graduates, the Iron Ring is an ever-present reminder of the commitment engineers make to serving the public with integrity and ethics.

National Engineering Month is an annual celebration of the heart and soul of engineers—their passion, commitment, and action toward making the world a better place. In March 2025, engineers are inviting you in. Discover the difference that engineers make in their communities through a series of doors open events at higher education institutions and participating engineering companies and industry organizations.
