In celebration of Pride Month, Engineers Canada hosted a virtual fireside chat on June 24, 2026, entitled, Thriving at work: Practical Tools for Supporting Employee Wellbeing. The event featured Sarah Moran, President of EngiQueers Canada, in conversation with Ting-Fai Yu, Project Coordinator, Energy, at Pride at Work Canada.
In their discussion, Moran and Yu explored what helps 2SLGBTQI+ employees move beyond simply navigating the workplace toward genuinely thriving within it. The conversation provided resources and practical tools that support inclusive leadership, employee wellbeing, authenticity, and healthy workplace cultures across technical and corporate environments.
Opening remarks were provided by Jeanette Southwood, P.Eng., Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Strategic Partnerships, Engineers Canada, while Engineers Canada CEO, Philip Rizcallah, P.Eng., provided closing remarks.
