Engineers Canada’s Pathway to Engineering program will be hosting a free webinar entitled “Licensure 101: What Every Engineering Student Needs to Know,” on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from noon to 1:00 p.m. EDT. Designed with engineering students in mind, this session is delivered live with Q&A (so bring your questions!).
During the webinar, Engineers Canada’s Laura Paul, MBA, P.Eng., PMP, Equity and Engagement Lead, and Eileen Sowunmi, BA, Associate, Outreach and Belonging, will cover what every student should know:
- Why engineering is a licensed profession
- How licensure gives you an edge in the job market and why employers value it
- The quickest path to licensure and what steps you can take now to make the process smoother after graduation
- Where to find support, resources, and guidance through Pathway to Engineering
Opening remarks will be provided by Jeanette Southwood, P.Eng., FCAE, ICD.D., Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Strategic Partnerships, Engineers Canada, while Engineers Canada CEO, Philip Rizcallah, P.Eng., will provide closing remarks.
