April 24, 2024 (virtual) and May 22, 2024 (Winnipeg, MB)
The engineering profession has committed to increasing the number of newly licensed engineers who are women to 30 per cent by 2030. However, we are at risk of not achieving our goal. 2030 is only six years away, and female-identifying newly licensed engineers only account for less than 20 per cent of the engineering profession in Canada. Now is the time to unite the engineering community to refocus our efforts and create meaningful change to advance gender equity in engineering.
The 2024 30 by 30 Conference offers both virtual and in-person programming. The Conference will kick off on April 24 with a virtual event open to everyone—from equity, diversity, and inclusion champions, to engineers, engineering employers, engineering educators, engineering students, and engineering regulators. A one-day, in-person Summit then takes place on May 22 in Winnipeg, MB, that brings together leaders from engineering firms, engineering educators, the engineering regulators, and others.
