Public Engineering Day

Public Engineering Day is organized by Engineers Nova Scotia and will take place at the Halifax Central Public Library on March 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

This event is open to the public and aims to cultivate curiosity in STEM, specifically exploring the world of engineering. The event will feature displays and booths from industry experts, community groups, and university groups Some of the activities planned include:

  • Hands-on design competition: Pasta bridge Challenge, aimed at youth aged
    11-14, where participants will build a bridge using pasta. Participants will be entered into a raffle to win a summer camp at Supernova
  • Sustainability-focused workshops: Arcade-style games and interactive
    booths targeting children aged 4 to 12 and junior high students
  • Exhibitors: Organizations like Super Nova and Brilliant Labs will host
    educational mini-activities and provide swag for engagement
