After extensive regulator consultation and work by the Qualifications Board and Environment and Sustainability Committee, the Engineers Canada Board recently approved a revised National Guideline on Site Remediation. Changes include updates to reflect recent legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as changes in scope and nature of this professional practice area. Special thanks goes to Troy Vassos, PhD, P.Eng, FEC., who was instrumental in completing this task. The national guidelines, which are updated every five years, are designed to assist provincial and territorial regulators in harmonizing practices of engineers across Canada.
