To celebrate National Engineering Month (NEM), each March, engineering educators, students, and professionals across Canada host events to showcase how engineering contributes to our world and daily lives.
In January, Engineers Canada led a webinar on, “Planning a National Engineering Month Event 101”, providing tips and practical tools on how to host a NEM event.
The session explored why participating in NEM matters, brand credibility, and national alignment. It also included tips for engaging different audiences, such as engineering professionals, students, kids and youth (k-12) about the “E” in STEM. Additionally, speakers shared event ideas and success stories from past NEM activities and more.
A National Engineering Month event can take the form of a free virtual panel, networking session, a classroom or campus workshop. a community showcase or hands-on demo, or any creative idea to share your knowledge or foster curiosity in the next generation of engineers.
If you or your organization is hosting a National Engineering Month event, submit it to our national calendar!
