Engineers Canada is happy to once again this year support DiscoverE’s Global Marathon, a series of engaging online discussions for women and their champions in engineering and technology worldwide.
Participate in short, weekly sessions from your computer or handheld device to hear uplifting stories, gain actionable career advice, and engage with inspiring and knowledgeable women around the world. Based on a recent research review titled Despite the Odds: Young Women Who Persist in Engineering, the 2020 Global Marathon focuses on building and supporting the factors that help women persevere in engineering and technology.
Five weekly sessions (airing on Wednesdays at 12:00 p.m. ET, from March 11 to April 8) will feature inspiring women from around the world who will share their stories, discuss how and why they stay in engineering, and empower participants to persist in their own careers and build staying power for women in STEM.
