Are you ready to make a mark on the engineering profession nation-wide? The Canadian Engineering Qualifications Board (CEQB) is inviting applications from two visionary engineers working in industry to join its Foresight Committee, a strategic group tasked with identifying emerging issues that will influence engineering regulation over the next 5 to 10 years.
As a committee member, you will be at the forefront of thought leadership, contributing to the development of influential papers, advising on national workshops, and engaging in forward-thinking dialogue that helps shape the future of the engineering profession and its regulation. We are seeking individuals who bring diverse perspectives, innovative viewpoints, and a commitment to advancing the profession.
Estimated time commitment: 10–16 hours over a one-year term.
The CEQB develops national guidelines, Engineers Canada papers, and examination syllabi that serve the needs of regulators, engineering licence holders, and applicants for licensure. Recent initiatives have addressed critical topics such as Indigenous consultation best practices, fitness to practise issues, the duty to report, the academic assessment of international engineering applicants, and the national code of ethics.
Joining the Foresight Committee offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with dynamic engineering leaders and contribute meaningfully to the evolution of the profession at a national level.
