Chris D. Roney, FEC, P.Eng., IntPE, President of Engineers Canada, is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephanie Price, P.Eng., CAE, as Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors of Engineers Canada, I wish to express my great pleasure that Ms. Price has agreed to take on the responsibilities of Interim CEO,” said Roney. I have confidence that Stephanie, together with the rest of the senior leadership team and our dedicated staff, will advance Engineers Canada’s service to our member regulators, key stakeholders, and the engineering profession with the utmost skill and diligence.”
Price is a member of the senior leadership team at Engineers Canada, and has been with the organization since 2009, during which time she has served as Manager, Qualifications, Practice Lead, Assessments and as Chief of Staff. A professional engineer for over 20 years, Price practiced in the field of mechanical engineering at Holcim Group Support (Canada) Limited, Holcim (US) Inc, Berenyi Incorporated and as the owner of SPecifiCS Solutions, a consulting firm serving the cement industry, prior to joining Engineers Canada.
“I’m honoured to take on this role and to continue the great work that Engineers Canada does to support the engineering regulators and foster engineering excellence in Canada,” said Price. “Engineers play a pivotal role in our rapidly changing world, and I look forward to leading our team as we advance the profession to take on the challenges of tomorrow.”
