This spring, engineering educators across Canada will be hosting regional meetings to discuss the Graduate Attribute Continual Improvement Process (GACIP). The Engineers Canada Accreditation Improvement Project (AIP) team will be providing support at each of the events, as a part of program element delivery surrounding accreditation training processes and continual improvement.

Charlottetown: AMEGA 2018

The second Atlantic Meeting on Engineering Graduate Attributes (AMEGA 2018) is being hosted on Thursday, May 17, 2018, by the Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering at the University of Prince Edward Island. The theme for this year's meeting is the “Continual Improvement Process.” The agenda includes a keynote presentation by the Accreditation Board chair, Wayne MacQuarrie, P.Eng., as well as open sessions and workshops facilitated by Brian Frank P.Eng. (Queen’s University), Jake Kaupp (Queen’s University), and John Donald, P.Eng. (University of Guelph), who are involved with the EGAD Project. Laval: 7th Annual meeting of French-speaking Canadian universities on the accreditation of engineering programs

On May 23, Université Laval will host the 7th CEAB mini-symposium of Quebec higher education institutions. Representatives from 13 universities will provide updates on two themes: quality assessment (continuous learning) and continuous improvement process. As a special guest, Brian Frank, PhD., P.Eng. from Queen's University will present an overview of the Engineering Graduate Attribute Development (EGAD) project. Finally, as usual, a member of the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board will speak on the recent developments in accreditation process improvement.

Calgary: Western GACIP symposium 2018

Save the date for the Western GACIP symposium 2018 hosted by the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary on June 15, 2018.
