Nov. 27 – The Women’s Executive Network (WXN) announced the Top 100 Award Winners at a gala event in Toronto. Winners included nine women with engineering backgrounds: Elizabeth Croft, Sarah Devereaux, Catharine Karaksatanis, Zahra Kazem-Moussavi, Natalie Panek, Anne Poschmann, Michele Romanow, and Anne Sado. Of these women, three are affiliated with the Engineers Canada Women in Engineering Committee.
Dr. Elizabeth Croft, FEC, P.Eng., is Associate Dean, Education and Professional Development, Faculty of Applied Science, NSERC Chair for Women in Science and Engineering, BC and Yukon Region, is a past member of the Engineers Canada Women in Engineering Committee, and is the 2006 recipient of Engineers Canada Award for the Support of Women in the Engineering Profession.
Sarah Devereaux, FEC, P.Eng., Partner, Dillon Consulting, is an Engineers Nova Scotia Past-President, vice-chair of the Engineers Canada Women in Engineering Committee, and the 2014 recipient of the Engineers Canada Award for the Support of Women in the Engineering Profession.
Catharine Karaksatanis, FEC, FCAE, P.Eng., Chief Operating Officer, Morrison Hershfield, is Past-President of Engineers Canada, Professional Engineers Ontario, the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers, is a member of the Engineers Canada Women in Engineering Committee, is currently on the Board of the Canadian Engineering Memorial Foundation, and was also a 2013 recipient of the Top 100 Awards.
