A critical piece of the Accreditation Improvement Program is the development of a high-quality training process for the volunteers and institutions that will be participating in accreditation-related activities on an ongoing basis. To stay informed of developments in this area, the AIP team recently participated in a three day “train-the-trainer” seminar in Toronto, which covered topics such as the characteristics and styles of adult learners and methods to effectively support knowledge translation. This knowledge will be applied in the coming weeks as we begin to bring people up to speed for the 2018–2019 accreditation cycle.
