Engineers Canada undertook an extensive requirements gathering process, consulting with external stakeholders, refining through multiple iterations, and validating with the data management system advisory committee.

Below is a summary of how requirements were gathered and finalized in preparation for the release of the RFP in early 2018. Steps in blue indicate actions that involved input from external stakeholders while red items indicate steps taken by the Engineers Canada team.

As the setup and configuration of the ARMATURE system is undertaken, a change control process has been established to assess additions or modifications to the requirements. Such a process will ensure that changes are thoughtful, contribute benefit, and ensure we stay on track to achieve our objectives for the data managements system.
