Over one hundred events took place during National Engineering Month at higher education institutions, engineering companies, and industry organizations across Canada. From doors open events to design competitions, from hands-on activities to exhibitions and workshops, the engineering profession invited you in to discover the future that engineers are building. Bay Area Regional STEM Fair
This Regional Fair is open to all students of this area or identified population:
City of Hamilton, Regional Municipality of Halton, Six Nations, Haldimand, Norfolk, and Brant Counties.

Lakehead University Highschool Outreach Design Competition
Highschool students will be tasked with a design aspect to build an airplane for a medical aviation company that needs to carry a load a certain distance.
The planes built will have fit dimensions and must be able to fly a load of coins as far as possible which will be done from a balcony in our university.
The students will be paired with a current engineering student at Lakehead for a helping hand.

Celebrating Engineering Month in Ottawa
Celebrating Engineering Month: Engineers Built the Future
This event is catered towards engineering students, engineers-in-training (EITs), and fully licensed professional engineers (P.Eng.). This event invites attendees to listen to professionals, Mina Sedarous, P.Eng. and Christian Guimond, P.Eng., talking about their projects and challenges within their field. This event aims to inspire and inform attendees about the roles that engineers play in society.

Big Push
For the past 20 years, the Toronto Metropolitan Engineering community has pushed numerous Volkswagon Beetles around the Kerr Hall Quad to raise donations for charitable organizations. This event has been showcased nationwide by news outlets, political representatives, special guests, and through a first of it’s kind social media campaign.

Mission: Innovate

A three-day event where 20 teams of five design and prototype solutions for four real-world cases!
Day 2: Technical lessons on CAD, CAM, and slicing software, followed by hands-on design and prototyping.

Go Code Girl / Allez coder les filles!
Go Code Girl is an exciting opportunity for girls in grades 7 to 12 to learn about the world of programming. This fun-filled day of coding introduces the girls to computer science, all while bringing their creations to life and meeting mentors in the field! This free bilingual event will be held at the University of Ottawa campus and offered by the Engineering Outreach team.
