Over one hundred events took place during National Engineering Month at higher education institutions, engineering companies, and industry organizations across Canada. From doors open events to design competitions, from hands-on activities to exhibitions and workshops, the engineering profession invited you in to discover the future that engineers are building. The Engineering and Computer Science Graduate Poster Competition is an annual graduate research competition at the Faculty of Engineering. The competition gives the community a preview of the cutting-edge research done by the next generation of designers, innovators and entrepreneurs. This annual graduate research competition showcases the cutting-edge research that the Faculty of Engineering’s graduate students are doing.

ANCWT – Engineering the Future | NEM 2026

Advancing New Canadian Women in Technology (ANCWT) invites you to Engineering the Future 2026, held in recognition of National Engineering Month (#NEM2026), led by Engineers Canada.
This event provides a platform for newcomer women in STEM to strengthen their professional network and showcase their technical expertise and presentation skills through a 3-Minute Technical (3MT) Pitch Competition, a keynote address, and a structured Ask/Give networking session.

Virtual Town Hall Session II

As part of online National Engineering Month activities, join Engineers Nova Scotia CEO & Registrar, Pal Mann, FEC, P.Eng., for an informative session on engineering in Nova Scotia and way forward. This moderated, interactive sessions will allow you to engage with the CEO in topics that are important to you. Q&A session will be followed for you to ask questions and join the discussion.

Two sessions will be held in March (March 11 and March 18) to accommodate registrants’ schedules. Both sessions cover the same content.

The Biomedical Engineer’s Ethical Dilemma Lab

The Biomedical Engineer’s Ethical Dilemma Lab is an interactive, graduate-focused workshop that examines real ethical decision-making challenges faced by biomedical engineers working at the intersection of research, healthcare, and technology.

Rather than abstract ethics lectures, participants will work through realistic engineering case studies involving biomedical devices, diagnostics, and data-driven health technologies. Each case will require attendees to weigh technical performance, patient impact, uncertainty, regulatory constraints, and professional responsibility.

Sweat & Sip Spin Class

“We don’t spin, We ride”. From a perfectly curated playlist to the theatrical lighting and sound system, this class is truly a party on a bike. Beat classes feature high-intensity cardio, rhythm-based choreography and upper-body weights. This full body workout will take you on a physical and emotional journey. Hosted by the Emerging Professionals committee. The class will be followed by light refreshments.
