Thriving at work: Practical Tools for Supporting Employee Wellbeing
This Pride month, Engineers Canada is pleased to present a fireside chat, Thriving at work: Practical Tools for Supporting Employee Wellbeing, featuring Pride at Work Canada and EngiQueers Canada. Together, we will explore what helps 2SLGBTQI+ employees move beyond simply navigating the workplace toward genuinely thriving within it.
The conversation will provide resources and practical tools that support inclusive leadership, employee wellbeing, authenticity, and healthy workplace cultures across technical and corporate environments. The fireside chat will conclude with an interactive Q&A session, providing participants with an opportunity to engage directly with speakers and reflect on how to advance inclusion and wellbeing within their own workplaces and communities.

Sarah Moran Sarah Moran (she/her) is a fourth year engineering student in Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering at McMaster University, and she is very passionate about creating a safe space for everyone to grow and learn. This year, she is serving as the President of EngiQueers Canada, a national non-profit organization that provides visibility, advocacy, and support to 2SLGBTQ+ students in STEM programs, and aims to increase acceptance within the profession. EngiQueers Canada represents over 30 engineering student groups from post-secondary institutions across the country who work hard to host events and initiatives to promote social connection and professional development.
