A disciplinary notice in BC. Expanding a downtown Montreal boutique hotel with no place to anchor a crane. These were the most-read stories in the Daily Media Report from mid-May.

Montreal hotel expansion: When Le Germain Hotel, a boutique hotel that fronts onto a busy downtown Montreal street and is surrounded by other tall buildings, wanted to add six more floors to the 11-storey structure, it turned to an innovative method of erecting high rise steel and concrete buildings without using a crane.
