EDI policy: A former University of Saskatchewan president has written an op-ed accusing the university of being on an ideological mission with respect to its equity, diversity, and inclusion policy. This prompted the current president to respond with his own op-ed defending the EDI policy.

PEO Council: At its 103rd Annual General Meeting on April 26, Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) installed Fred Saghezchi as its 106th president and introduced its Council for the 2025-2026 term.

Reducing trade barriers: On May 14, Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew and Ontario Premier Doug Ford signed a memorandum of understanding to reduce interprovincial trade barriers and improve labour mobility between the two provinces.
