University of Victoria: The University of Victoria’s Faculty of Engineering has officially adopted a new name. The Faculty was officially renamed to the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science on September 1 as a step towards greater diversity and inclusion.

Engineers and Geoscientists BC: The new Professional Governance Act that came into effect in February 2021 placed restrictions on certain advocacy activities for the regulators under its authority. Engineers and Geoscientists BC Council and staff undertook and have now completed a strategic review of more than 20 programs and activities against this new framework.

Parry Sound: Parry Sound North Star newspaper held its first advisory council meeting and heard from, among other local voices, Sandra Ausma, PEO Councillor-at-Large and Director of Ontario Professional Engineers Foundation for Education.
