Engineers Canada is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Engineers Canada Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions to the engineering profession and society. This year's recipients have demonstrated exceptional dedication, innovation, and leadership, making significant impacts in engineering practice, education, research, and community service.  

The recipients will be honoured this evening at the annual Engineers Canada Awards Gala, this year being held in Vancouver, British Columbia. 

The 2025 Award recipients are: 

  • Georges Kaddoum, PhD, P.Eng. – Gold Medal Award
  • Angus McLean English, P.Eng. – Meritorious Service Award for Professional Service
  • Sheliza Kassam, P.Eng. – Meritorious Service Award for Community Service
  • Brian Frank, PhD, P.Eng. – Medal for Distinction in Engineering Education
  • Kim Jones, PhD, P.Eng. (limited licence) – Award for the Support of Women in the Engineering Profession
  • Neil Mitra – Gold Medal Student Award 

Presented annually since 1972 to recognize outstanding Canadian engineers, teams of engineers, engineering projects and achievements, and engineering students, the Engineers Canada Awards highlight professional excellence, as well as the contributions of engineers to their community, and to the safety and well-being of Canadians.
