Sept. 10 – NSERC hosted an informal networking event at the University of Ottawa with the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Chairs for Women in Science and Engineering and other stakeholders interested in closing the gender gap in science and engineering.
Engineers Canada representatives Kim Allen, FEC, P.Eng., Chief Executive Officer, Guy Legault, MBA, FCPA, FCGA, CAE, Vice-President of Business Development and Services, Glenn Martin, Practice Lead, Marketing and Outreach, and Emilie Adams, Practice Lead, Digital Communications, were on hand to speak with the current chair holders present at the event, including the two chairs in the areas of engineering Dr. Catherine Mavriplis, and Dr. Elizabeth Croft.

Engineers Canada values the work NSERC is doing, in particular the work of the NSERC Chairs for Women in Science and Engineering, to connect the next generation of engineers with those already established in the industry.
