One year ago, Engineers Canada launched a national marketing campaign to highlight the ways engineers are making our lives better. The campaign returns this spring to showcase the breadth and depth of the engineering profession.
Last year, the Building Tomorrows campaign was viewed by Canadians more than 235 million times across television and digital channels. Building on this success, the campaign is back in 2024, highlighting Canada’s diverse, dedicated, and essential engineers. We’ve updated the campaign video to highlight engineers' pivotal role in making communities more liveable, while on the campaign website we will soon be unveiling a new activity that gives Canadians a chance to learn about the many ways engineers are building solutions to make our lives better.
The campaign will launch across digital platforms this spring, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. This year, we are highlighting some new ways engineers are making an impact such as rethinking communities by employing innovative strategies such as modular construction, sustainable design practices, and collaborating with urban planners, landscape architects and policymakers. We are also spotlighting how engineers help protect Canadians from cyberattacks, by building online protection systems that identify and block phishing attempts.
In September we’ll reach even more Canadians with a television campaign featured during the fall’s new programming season. Last year our video spot aired alongside some of the most popular programming on conventional and specialty networks, and we look forward to the same this year.
