BC building code changes: Wendy Macdonald, a professional engineer and sustainability consultant, tells Sustainable Biz Canada that last year’s changes to British Columbia’s building code are geared to elevating the sustainability of buildings in the key areas of energy, materials and climate resilience.

Exoskeleton: Aaron Zhao, a first-year student in McMaster University’s Integrated Biomedical Engineering and Health Sciences (iBioMed) program, was recently named a national winner at the Ingenious+ Challenge in the health and well-being category. His design, a 3D printed exoskeleton, suppresses hand tremors in people who struggle to hold objects in a stable position.
