Kim Bouffard, Manager of Belonging and Engagement at Engineers Canada, has been appointed Interim President of the Canadian Coalition of Women in Engineering, Science, Trades, and Technology (CCWESTT).

CCWESTT is a national coalition of organizations and individuals who champion a gender-equitable, diverse, and inclusive Canadian science, engineering, technology, and trades sector. CCWESTT builds alliances and partnerships, acts as a resource hub, and advocates with a strong, unified voice.

Engineers Canada is a proud member of CCWESTT, and Bouffard has been Engineers Canada’s representative on the CCWESTT Board of Directors for the last three years and was serving as vice president prior to being appointed interim president.

“I am looking forward to continuing to serve the CCWESTT community as we collectively strive for a gender-inclusive science, engineering, trades, and technology (SETT) sector,” Bouffard said about her appointment as interim president.

She takes over from previous CCWESTT president Larissa Vingilis-Jaremko. “I want to acknowledge and thank Larissa Vingilis-Jaremko for all her years of service to CCWESTT,” Bouffard said. “As President she helped to lead the organization through the development of its strategic plan, 30-year celebration, and was instrumental in helping the organization to secure our system change projects. I am honoured at the opportunity to continue her, the CCWESTT’s board, and all our staff’s work.”

As Manager of Belonging and Engagement at Engineers Canada, Bouffard leads the organization’s equity, diversity, and inclusion work and its outreach and engagement programs and initiatives. She is responsible for developing and managing the execution of Engineers Canada’s strategic priorities, goals, and objectives around gender equity, Truth and Reconciliation, and career awareness and she is the lead on two national system change projects, the 30 by 30 initiative and K to 12 Collective Impact Project.
