Join Engineers Canada at the 2022 30 by 30 conference, a three-day virtual gathering for 30 by 30 Champions, engineering regulators, engineering educators, engineers, students, employers, and other stakeholders. The Conference will take place from 12:00 p.m. ET to 2:00 p.m. ET on April 13, 20, and 27.

The theme of the 2022 conference is Emerging Leadership. The 30 by 30 initiative is working to change the engineering profession to better reflect Canadian society, which will require a shift in leadership and engineering culture. The 30 by 30 Conference will provide guidance for allies to create space for women, gender diverse individuals, and other emerging leaders. The Conference will:

  • Support increased acknowledgement of systemic barriers and discrimination and foster a commitment to breaking the cycle of exclusion and increasing opportunities for women.
  • Build awareness and skills related to intersectionality, positionality, anti-racism and anti-oppression, single-story narratives, emotional intelligence, self/community-care, conscious inclusion, and allyship.

Join Engineers Canada and hundreds of participants to learn and share about the work of addressing gender equity, and the need to support underrepresented groups in the profession.

Every year we will be partnering with a different engineering regulator. For this year, we are excited to collaborate with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), who first conceived the 30 by 30 goal in 2010.
