The novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and the disease it causes (COVID-19) continues to spread across the globe and Canada. This page outlines actions that Engineers Canada is taking to reduce the risk of staff and volunteers contracting or spreading this disease.
Engineers Canada office
The Engineers Canada office is closed until April 5 at the earliest, and all staff are working from home. We will continue to receive mail and deliveries. If you intended to visit our office please contact the staff person you were planning to see. You can call us at 613-232-2474, and our general reception email address is email@example.com.
Engineers Canada meetings
The following meetings have been rescheduled to occur remotely:
- National Admissions Officials Group
The following meetings have been postponed:
- 30 by 30 Champions
- Hill Day
We are also assessing what action we may wish to take with respect to other upcoming face-to-face meetings, including our Spring Meetings and Awards Gala in May. Until directed otherwise, attendees of Engineers Canada meetings are discouraged from making travel plans unless the meeting organizer has indicated to do so.
If you have any questions about an upcoming Engineers Canada meeting, please contact the meeting organizer.
Impact on Accreditation of engineering programs
The Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) is monitoring how the COVID-19 pandemic is impacting the delivery of CEAB-accredited engineering education programs, and the decisions being made by HEIs to protect their school communities. Please review the statement of March 12 for more information.
We thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. For more information on how you can protect yourself and others, please visit the Public Health Agency of Canada.
