Engineers Canada recognizes six engineers with scholarship awards

At a ceremony last night, Engineers Canada honoured the six recipients of its 2016 scholarship program. The recipients were chosen from a large number of submissions from across Canada. This year they represent studies in chemical engineering, civil engineering, aerospace engineering as well as education in business administration and STEM education. The six annual scholarships are made possible through the generous support of Manulife and TD Insurance Meloche Monnex

Engineers Canada Yukon workshop demonstrates value of climate vulnerability assessment

Three engineering professors are included among the ten educators named 2017 3M National Teaching Fellows. Greg Evans of the University of Toronto, Alan Steele of Carleton University and Gordon Stubley of the University of Waterloo, have been named in this year’s cohort.

Canada’s top researchers and engineers honoured at Rideau Hall

Introduce students to engineering with the EngScape lesson plan

In June 2016, Engineers Canada launched EngScape, an online portal about the engineering labour market in Canada. Now, Engineers Canada has developed a free lesson plan that educators can use to introduce their students to EngScape and the world of engineering.

Engineers Canada and Nevada State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors strike agreement to improve registration of engineers across borders

On Thursday, January 12, 2017, the Nevada State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors signed a memorandum of understanding with Engineers Canada to streamline the licensure process for Canadian engineers who are registered through the Engineers Canada Mobility Register.
