En mars 2025, la profession d’ingénieur a ouvert ses portes pour montrer comment les ingénieur.e.s ouvrent des portes !

Plus d’une centaine d’événements ont eu lieu au cours du Mois national du génie dans des établissements d’enseignement supérieur, des entreprises d’ingénierie et des organismes du secteur partout au Canada. C’était par le biais de journées portes ouvertes, de concours de conception, d’activités pratiques, d’expositions et d’ateliers que la profession d’ingénieur vous a invité à entrer dans son univers afin de découvrir l’avenir que construisent les ingénieur.e.s. In this online workshop presented on YouTube Live, students will use a tri-coloured LED and 3 photoresistors to create a lamp that smoothly changes colours depending on the external lighting conditions.

Join this special online presentation led by the University of Toronto’s Engineering Recruitment staff, The first 30 minutes will be an overview of our Engineering programs, opportunities, academic requirements and community. Afterwards, there will be an interactive period led by an Engineering Recruitment Officer, where they will answer any questions about applying to and studying at U of T Engineering.

Sweat & Sip Spin Class

“We don’t spin. We ride.” From a perfectly curated playlist to the theatrical lighting and sound system, this class is truly a party on a bike. Beat classes feature high-intensity cardio, rhythm-based choreography and upper-body weights. This full-body workout will take you on a physical and emotional journey. PLEASE NOTE: This class may involve flashing lights, if you have a medical condition or aversion to flashing lights please let our staff know!

Hosted by the Emerging Professionals committee. The class will be followed by light refreshments.

National Engineering Month Open House

Open House showcasing the various engineering departments that make up Infrastructure Development at the City of Vaughan and the amazing work they do, including construction projects, new roads, innovations with AI and robots. Students from neighboring high schools are also invited to participate in a Bridge Breaking Contest where the winner will receive a trophy and a photo with the Mayor. There will be lots of give aways, a snack bar and a raffle.
